It’s officially August and man, this Summer seriously feels like it’s flying by.
We just got back from our annual summer two week stay in Lavallette, NJ. We rent the same lovely shore house every year right by the beach. Contrary to the quick 1.5 hour car ride from home, the vibe in Lavallette is truly otherworldly. It’s so incredibly relaxing, nautical, and family oriented. It’s laid-back yet inspiring, all at the same time. Our days started with jog or bike ride on the board walk and ended with heaping serving of Salty’s Ice Cream. If you’re ever in the area, you have to go. It’s a game changer for ice cream lovers such as myself.
Mila absolutely loves the Lava shore house. She was calling it the “tree house” for the first few days. It was so cute to witness as she came to the realization that it’s actually a shore house. Even though we visit every year, it never gets old because she is never the same age twice. Every summer has it’s own story. Every year is another chapter filled with new adventures, new experiences, and new discoveries as she gets older and wiser.
Mila is approaching 2 1/2 and I have to say, this age has been my favorite thus far. My husband and I have had so much fun with her spunky personality and overzealous mannerisms. She is so witty, rambunctious, and fun. Not gonna lie, I can’t always keep up– physically and mentally lol. She’s always keeping me on my toes.
Hence why this summer, my style story really gravitated to easy, airy, comfortable, beachy sets. I love sets because the work is really already done and there is little to no thinking involved. The outfit is already complete. This top goes with that bottom. Put it on. Badda bing, badda boom. Done. Now where did Mila go? 😛
Another big plus is that most sets are versatile day-to-night looks. With minor tweaks in how you style them, they are built for an easy-breezy last month of summer 2019 statement, at any hour.
My go to brand for Summer Sets was Sabo Skirt. They were easy and comfy while still making me feel stylish, sexy, and feminine. For all Moms out there– I know you get it when I say the struggle REAL in finding that balance lol. Feel free to click on the photograph of me below which will lead you right to half of the “Naila” set that I’m photographed in. Sold out? No worries, you’ll find sets galore. Along with shoes and accessories to pair the look up with. Dive right in and get lost. Welcome to the Sabo Fam 🙂
