A sneaky sneaky petite treat that will have you feeling guilt free when you give into them asking for…” just one more, pleeeease”.
My current Mila hurdle is getting her to eat more veggies and greens. She’s a chocolate lover and can you blame her? The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. I was contemplating how to nonchalantly incorporate some more veggies into her diet. Then I thought of this great idea to incorporate greens into my baking. Researched it, to find out it’s been done before and I’m not as much of a creative pioneer as I thought I was–lol don’t you hate when that happens!
Nevertheless, it’s a wonderful idea and worked like a charm. The veggie puree actually complimented the fudge texture and consistency in the center.
You can make everything from scratch OR if you’re looking for a time savvy way that still gives your kitchen that freshly baked aroma, you can go my route. I used my favorite boxed mix (Stonewall Kitchen- chocolate brownies. You can substitute it with whichever flavor your mini likes. Although chocolate does conceal the greens the best) and veggie puree packets. Mixed it all up. Preheated the oven to 450 degrees, poured the batter in cute seasonal baking cups & viola. Minimal mess, minimal guilt, and one happy mini. 😊
Happy & Healthy Thanksgiving!
